The club's pool of frieght cars is now over 600 cars, and growing.

The 'loop' is in and operational.

The back wall for Bakersfield is well on its way being finished. This is the first step towards building the ATSF yard in Bakersfield, Sandcut, and Bena. As well as finishing Edison and Kern Jct.

Plans are changing for the final layout of Mojave yard. The original plan was to have Mojave be used as a staging yard and add another yard to hold the passenger trains to the compuss east of the yard where the ATSF comes in from Barstow. The major drawbacks to this plan was that the club has a additional panel on the CTC machine to work East Mojave and the junction with the ATSF. Using Mojave as a staging yard would make this CTC panel pointless to use within, basicly, a reversing loop.

The current plan is to have the CTC controlled interlocking plant functional. Use Mojave as a working yard. Build a 1-1/2 lap double track helix down to a staging yard under Mojave. Have an alternate reversing loop inside the helix connecting back behind the Mojave station where the old Atlantic & Pacific mainline came in before the 1943 realignment.
