Al Qaida in Chilas
It is confirmed that four Al Qaida Moulvis (religious leaders) Zaman, Muheet and Mayoor are in Chilas (Pakistan occupied Gilgit Baltistan) on KKH and helped in past setting up trainig camps in Tangir and Darel, by the direction and full co-operation of ISI. Chilas MC Chairman told but hurried to deny when he learnt of US wrath but other members of Chilas Municipal Committee have confirmed the story.
Last year, many groups of Al-Qaida and Taliban activists were brought to Yasen Balawaristan via Dahrkoot Valley which links Chitral of NWFP, Pakistan and Badakhshan of Afghanistan. They were sent to terrorist sactuary of Darel and Tangir via Kargah valley near Gilgit city, by ISI in private vehicles. Such one group was taken to Kargah by a Jeep No. GLT 5566 driving by driver Pinin from Yasen. This Jeep was booked by a local Wahabi fanatic Abdur Rehman of Bahrkohlti, Yasen, for Al-Qaida, whose parents had migrated from Turkmanistan of Central Asia. Witness said that one tall person had wore veil throughout the journey.He may be Osma Bin Laden or any other Al-Qaida leader, who was finally taken to Darel via Karag Nala (Pasture)
