Reference in the memory of Late Amir Hamza at Islamabad
Islamabad, Sep 10th. 2002:
A very important and consequential reference in the memory of Late Mr.Amir Hamza, an ex-SSP of Gilgit-Baltistan’ held here today at Abdul Latif Bhatai Community Centre in H-8/1,Islamabad. This was arranged by the All Parties National Alliance’(APNA) of Pakistani-held Kashmir(PHK) with collaboration of some intellectuals of Gilgit-Baltistan, and was chaired by Mirza Wajahat Hassan and was addressed by so many fierce speakers of Gilgit-Baltistan in addition to the leadership of APNA. It was a massively attended by the relatives, friends, fans and those who were politically affiliated to the Late Mr. Hamza.

The speakers analyzed and evaluated the entire personality of Late Mr.Amir Hamza and concluded that in relation to his motherland –Gilgit-Baltistan ; he was every inch a nationalist and patriot who wanted freedom, independence, progress and prosperity for his motherland. He was one of those, illustrious sons of soil who perceived the poverty and the backwardness of the people in the inherent slavery of Gilgit-Baltistan and wished and struggled for its independence, progress and prosperity. They appealed to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, especially youth, to remain vigilant and keep the hypocrites and traitors away from them. They also exhorted them to follow the footsteps of Late Mr. Hamza in order to achieve the national independence; and also vowed themselves to follow Late Mr. Hamza to materialize his ideals.
The special feature of this function was the unprecedented zeal and enthusiasm of the youth of the region who seemed to be charged and agitating. It seemed as if they fully understood each and every word of the speakers and would certainly put these words in practice. Before concluding, the following demands of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan were put forward in the shape of resoulutions:
