As a child, believed books were the most important thing in the world; still feels the same as an adult, only more intensely

Wrote first book,
Hair Do's and People I Know, at age 10

Played the organ in her church beginning at age 10, and at age 17 gave private piano lessons to kids in her town

Sister Della, an eighth grade teacher, told her that she might someday be a writer; she remains an important person in Krull's life

Was fired at age 15 from her first job, a part-time job in a library, for reading too much

Graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin

Wrote books in the Trixie Belden series while working for Western Publishing in the 1970s using the pseudonym Kathryn Kenny

Interested in aliens and believes that she may someday see one

Believes that people enjoy knowing gossipy details about the lives of famous people

Caricatures of famous people by artist Kathryn Hewitt inspired her "Lives of�" series books

Much of her writing like,
Wilma Unlimited and Lives of Extraordinary Women, reflects her admiration of strong women

Lives in San Diego, California with husband, children's book illustrator, Paul Brewer

Says that her nosiness brought about her marriage to her neighbor, Paul Brewer
