Herbal Recipes and Concoctions
For an upset stomach:
   Try a bit of fresh basil, dill, fennel seed and peppermint seeped in hot water.
For owie feet:
  Put 2 cups of epsom salts, 4 chamomile tea bags, 3-5 drops of peppermint essential oil and  3-5 drops orange or grapefruit oil in a gallon of hot water.  Mix in a basin and soak feet...not only do the feel better, but they smell good too!!!
Lavender-Mint Milk Bath:
  Combine 1/2 c dried lavender, 1/4 c dried mint, 1 c. powered milk, and 1/4 cup oatmeal into muslin drawstring bag and toss in your bath.

Herb:                          amt per 1 qt water                       extras          
Chamomile               
Ginger  (Salabat)           1/2 cup fresh, grated               1 c brown sugar
Sage                            1/2 c fresh, chopped                     honey
Rose Hip                 5-7 fresh/dried hips, crushed              honey
Lavender                      1/4 c dried flowers                       honey
Nasturtium Hair Rinse:
2 c distilled water
20 nasturtium leaves
10 nasturtium flowers
1/2 in chunk of ginger, sliced
juice of 1/2 lemon

Bring water and herbs (except lemon juice) to boil and simmer 5 minutes then seep 30 minutes.  Add lemon juice.  Use to rinse hair after washing once or twice a week
Ginger Liniment:
Freshly grate 2 inch chunk of  ginger root and wrap in muslin or cheesecloth bag.  Simmer in 1/2 cup almond oil for 1 hour, then allow to steep for one additional hour. Remove ginger bag from infusion and use on to massage on sore muscles.
Feel-good feet:
Mix 1c of witch hazel with 25 drops lavender essential oil, 10 drops peppermint essential oil, 3 drops patchouli or cypress oil and 2 teaspoon lemon juice into spray bottle.  Spritz on feed to feel good and be stink free
Naturally Roach-Free
Mix a 1:1:2 ratio of flour, cocoa and borax and sprinkle in shallow containers in roachy areas such as under sinks and in cabinents to kill roaches.
OR
Eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils in roachy areas will repell them.
