After our fill of pastry we took the train toward Lisbon.  We got off at a stop where I thought we could find a place where we could watch someone hand paint on tiles.  It was the wrong area and someone told us where to go.  We decided to walk there.  We found it and the man was painting away.  Painted time is very big here.  It is just about on everything.

The other thing that is quite popular here is o galo de Barelos--the famous rooster of Barcelos. The rooster is usually painted black and it has hearts on its wings and tails and symbolises truth, justice, and faith.  The story goes that a man was condemned to die for a crime he didn'e commit.  The manis last wish was to have dinner with the judge hoping to prove his innocencce.  The judge was having a chicken dinner and the accused said that the rooster would crow if he was innocent.  The rooster did crow and the was set free.
That is it for story time.
