Hikarutsuki Eiri is his name. Abandoned as a baby, he was found in the streets by an old lady and taken to an orphanage. Within fifteen years of his life, he was forced from one orphanage to another, until he had consumed 18 of them. But being evil or doing miss-deeds did not draw him away. Instead, the orphan caretakers in concerns to his health and well being always put in the requests. Being half-Japanese and half-German, as well as owning the frail and often ill-fated body he wore, Eiri was constantly teased, tormented, and ridiculed by the other stranded children. Eiri never fought back, nor did he ever speak or think ill will toward them. If anything, he felt sorry for each and everyone of them.

At age 15, Eiri finally had enough. He ran away from the orphanage and joined the army for money. There, he found that the love for poetry and art he had grown attached to while in the orphanage was actually worth something. When a soldier offered him $20,000 for one of his paintings, he immediately agreed and eagerly started the trade. By age 17 he had sold 14 paintings, and had begun on 2 novels that eventually turned into a series. However, he never gave his real name when publishing his books or selling his artwork. As an author, he is known as Hishiro Eiri. As a painter, he goes by Tomoe Eiri.

Now he wanders the world, searching for inspiration. His hobbies include his work, along with a deep-seeded passion for the saxophone. He also enjoys spending his hours gambling in bars, though it's not very often when he would take more than one drink while gaming. On the downside, he is a heavy smoker; a bad habit for anyone, but especially for someone as small and thin as he. He is also very ignorant at times, but can be easily forgiven with that cute and honest face of his.
