Miroku is a traveling monk that happened upon the gang. He was actually performing exercism's and stealing people's stuff. He acts way older than his age. He is actually only 19. Despite his not getting along with Inuyasha, they share a common foe, a demon named Naraku. The only time they really get along is when they are fighting or trying to get Naraku. Naraku turned Inuyasha against Kikyo and vice versa through trickery. Naraku also put a whole in Miroku's gradfather's hand and cursed the family with the black hole or "kazanna" until Naraku is killed. Naraku really wansts to get rid of Inuyasha for reason's that are still unknown. He even gets Sesshoumaru to help kill Inuyasha, and Miroku, but Kagome foils the plans. Miroku is a ladies man. He out- and out asked Kagome to bear his children. Inuyasha gets jealous although he denies it. When Sango enters the scene, he is all over her. To tell the truth, Sango kind of likes Miroku despite the fact that he is the way he is, a skirt-chaser. Although Miroku seems to be a really tough guy, he has a really big fear, which is the method to his maddness. He is afraid that his wind tunnel is going to suck him in just like his father (which it will eventually if Naraku is not killed), so he wants to have children to keep after Naraku, if he doesn't live long enough to kill him. Therefore, he asks all the girls he meets to bear his child. He usually either gets ignored, slapped, or the girl agrees and something happens (like she is a demon) so they never make it to his bed. |
