| Who is Highway Christian Fellowship? Highway Christian Fellowship is an evangelical Pentecostal Church affiliated with The Full Gospel Churches of Australia. We are a small, but growing group of dedicated Christians who have been meeting in the Belgrave South Community Centre since June 1997, and more recently in the Tin Shed in Belgrave. What do we do? We meet each Sunday in the Tin Shed Community Hall at 1623 Burwood Highway Belgrave, our meeting starting at 10.am. Bible study groups meet weekly on Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon. The studies are relevant to today, and those attending are encouraged to enter into discussion over the many topics considered. As we have said previously, we fully believe the church should be out among the people regardless of who they are. Meeting the needs of those less fortunate than us, or just experiencing difficult times. To that end we have set up a further organisation, Belgrave Community Information and Support Centre that majors in community welfare activities, and is staffed by those who have the desire and skills to minister in this area. What are our meetings like? We believe that a church meeting should be a time of enjoyment, thanksgiving to God for his goodness, and reverent worship to Him as the Almighty God. We sing bright and cheerful songs, raise our hands in praise and worship, and simply thank God for his salvation through Jesus Christ. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday morning. The meetings are open with members of the congregation being asked to pray as the need arises, often a time is set aside for those who are sick or in difficult times, and need personal prayer. The pastor, a congregation member, or a visiting speaker gives a message or sermon. These messages are always challenging and enlightening. Children are welcome and catered for through a childrens own meeting led by experienced teachers and leaders. After the service, time is spent meeting and sharing together over a cuppa. We are an informal, friendly, outgoing and responsive group of family people with a goal to reach out to, and to meet the needs of, the community. | Although a church in all aspects, we are also a family in many ways as well. There is no pre-set criteria for entry to the meetings, no dress code, no social or racial barriers; in other words, all are welcome and accepted. We firmly believe that the church should not hide itself behind closed doors, but show itself to the community in which it is established. |

| Our desire is to introduce Jesus Christ to the community by meeting, as far as possible, the individual material, emotional and spiritual needs of those within the community. As such we consider ourselves to be a church for the people and have organised ourselves in a way that allows us to carry out that mandate. |
