Living Field

I can recall being in an open field, feeling the warm basking sun upon me as the cool breeze was running over me. Up ahead there was an inviting pond that seemed to pull me toward it. As I walked I could hear childish laughter, and I know their eyes were watching me. It made me a bit hesitant to continue my journey but the pond was calling me so I continued. Looking into that reflective water seeing my own image in such a different manner. It couldn't be me but I knew it was. I touched my image and the pond rippled all over. Bubbles began rising majestically to the surface popping loudly as they touched the air. A giant bee emerged and its stinger lingered in the water, as it slowly began to absorb the pond into its clear belly. He came to me but I felt no fear. It landed on my arm and injected its warm venom inside me. I laughed as I felt life for the first time.
