1.
General information
·
Ted
Anderson is on sick leave and will not be at track for the next while.
·
Keys
for cars left at the track will be with Richard at W. J. Mouat
·
Who
was the student from Chilliwack who won the Skills Canada Regionals in
Automotive?
2.
Car Shows
·
There
was discussion on participating at the “Langley Cruise In” as an association,
by bringing several cars and putting up an information booth.
·
D.
W. Poppy Car Show on May 2, 2004 (Stu may still be looking for some
judges).
3.
Scholarships
·
We
are expecting more applications for our scholarship this year.
·
Doug
Anderson has made changes in the way our scholarship money is invested to
maximize our return on the money invested.
·
The
Langley Loafers have graciously stepped up and will donate to our scholarship
fund.
·
The
principals at Tweedsmuir and Chilliwack have contributed to the
·
PRINCIPALS
SCHOLARSHIP FUND. Remember to get your
principal involved.
4.
Friday Night Street Legal Drags
·
There
was discussion about approaching Mission to see if we could hold a 50/50 draw
on the Street Legal night to raise funds for our Scholarship Fund.
5.
Mission Race Days
·
There
was a discussion about the possibility of the Test & Tune portion of our
race dates being opened up to 100 cars.
·
Note
new pit vehicle rules (see end of
minutes)
·
The
topic of our double headers was brought up with reference to start times for
eliminations. This will be an issue if
Mission increases the number of test and tune cars.
6.
Minor Waivers
·
Due
to the difficulty in getting waiver forms, it was decided that we should use
last years form until Mission provides us with their current form.
7.
Membership
·
It
was decided after some discussion to change the date for early bird membership
fee price break from Jan. 31 to Feb. 28.
The early bird fee is $50.00 with renewals after Feb. 28 being $60.00.
·
There
will be a meeting at the track at the May race to discuss the situation of our
executive.
8.
Non-Sponsored Racers
·
When
there are no teachers from a school to supervise their students
·
the
sponsor teacher must make sure that all the appropriate forms for the students
and sponsors are signed.
·
All
volunteers need to have criminal records checks (the cost of these checks will
be covered by the schools)

PIT VEHICLE &SUPPORT VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS TO BE ENFORCED FOR 2004
To
improve safety at all MRP’s events, the following rules and restrictions will
be placed on pit vehicles. Rules may vary at other facilities, check with each
track.
3.
No vehicle of any type (i.e.; bicycle, skateboard, etc) may be operated
by anyone under the age of 16, at any time.
4.
Motorized pit vehicles are
limited to operation by drivers with a valid drivers licence only.
5. Motorized pit vehicles may only be used starting one hour
prior, until two hours after the days schedule is completed.
With
the exception of authorized MRP STAFF.
6. All vehicles are limited to a 10mph speed limit; pit
vehicles will be confiscated upon infringement.
7. All pit vehicles and support vehicles must display a
corresponding number for the race vehicle it is with. Example: 0000 PRO
Each
race vehicle is allowed ONE support vehicle.
Your
cooperation with these policies will be greatly appreciated and will make for a
safer facility. We also ask that a parent or guardian supervise children at all
times.
