Theme--“Table Topics Contest”

Business meeting:
Jared Kronenberg, President—Picked up some materials at the Spring District 65 Conference in Syracuse earlier in the year. If you forget your book for the first 10 speeches when you are speaking, we will have copies of those evaluation sheets available to be filled out (also picked up the same for Advance manual speeches)
Jared announced that the Area 16 Fall Contest would be the morning of Saturday, 10/13, at the Country Club of Rochester. Its a breakfast meeting, so you can have the rest of the day after the contest to enjoy your weekend (see below)
Juls Foos, ATMB, Treasurer—Juls announce that dues are due this month (semi annual dues, $33). For those who have joined since April (when dues were last collected), your dues at that time were prorated. She will collect dues at the September meetings or you can mail them to her. All members received invoices (no bounced emails when sent out). It is a club goal to have dues paid on time (by 10/1 at Toastmasters International)
Gordon Penniston, DTM, Secretary—Gordon explained that after the club contests are held, the winners of the club contests represent the club at the Area level (an area is a collection of 4-6 clubs). The winners of the Area contest face the winners of other areas in the Division contest, and the winners of the Division contest face the winners if other Divisions at the District Contest (Table Topics and Humorous Speech finals will be in Ithaca at the Fall 2007 District Conference, November 16-17)
