Meeting Minutes June 5, 2008

Theme--“Memories” (RHN 10th Anniversary Celebration Day)

Business meeting:

Jared Kronenberg, CC, CL, President, Presiding Officer

Election of Secretary for 08-09 Toastmasters Year.  After announcing at the last meeting that the posiion of club secretary was open, Jared opened up the floor for nominations for the position of Secretary.  Gordon Penniston, DTM (after announcing that a quorum was present), nominated Alison Kobey for the position, which she accepted the nomination (which was seconded).  Gordon made the motion to close nominations and have one ballot cast for Alison for the position of club secretary (seconded); the motion passed unanimously.

Jared announced that with Bill Rothrock's earning of his ACS, the club now has nine Distinguished Club points and is once again a President's Distinguished Club

Jared announced that District 65 Governor Bob Logan congratulated RHN on both its 10-year anniversary as well as being President's Distinguished.  Jared also announced that Area 16, of which RHN is a part of, is a Select Distinguished Area.

Cindy Clauss, CL, VP-Education--Announced that the paperwork has gone through and Mike Meynadasy is officially a Competent Leader.
