At the District 65 Conference, the club did very well.  Gordon Penniston won the District 65 Evaluation Contest, while Scott Ellsworth was 2nd in the International Speech contest (if the 1st place person doesn't make it, Scott is eligible at the Regional level of the speech contest).  Way to go Scott and Gordon!

Speech a thon, Saturday, May 17.  If you want to give speeches, work on your CL manual, or help out, please contact Gordon.  We need people to be timers, evaluators, and toastmasters!

Club Officer Elections 

Before the elections, Jared announced that Mary Scarbrough was removed as a candidate for VP-Membership, as she is no longer a member.  A quorum was present.

The election results are as follows:

President--Mike Meynadasy (unanimous)

VP-Education--Leanne Whitbeck (unanimous)

VP-Membership--John Wenderlich (unanimous)

VP-Public Relations--Kris Stevens (unanimous)

Secretary--Gordon Penniston 8, Alison Kobey 7

Treasurer--Rosalind Walker 11, Scott Ellsworth 5

Sergeant-at-Arms--Cindy Craner 10, Korey Finstad 6

Congrats to Mike, Leanne, John, Kris, Gordon, Rosalind, and Cindy as they lead the club in the 2008-2009 Toastmasters year.  Please give them your support as they help you achieve your communication and leadership goals.
