| The Strathspey Railway has an annual enthusiast's day or weekend, usually towards the end of may. It was at this in 2000 that Nick and I ran into each other by chance. Not much attention is paid to the railway by the press, as it is left out of most of the lists of Diesel Days. There was a half-page article about it in RAIL last year, but other than that it is kept quiet. The railway should be opening their extension to Broomhill soon, and are hoping to extend to Grantown-on-Spey. Please support the Strathspey Railway by turning up for their enthustiast days, as that is what keeps these railways alive. |
