Music:

Music will either make or break your ceremony. Here are some suggestions that may help make the service more memorable.

Pachelbel's Canon in D: The quintessential wedding song. You can't go wrong with this one.

Handel's Water Music: This is great for it's varied movements, and can be used in a variety of settings.

Star Wars "Ceremonial March" by John Williams: Would be great to march out to. (The wife just wouldn't have it.)

"Olympic Fanfare" also by John Williams: This is a very powerful piece of music. Should be used as a  brisk recessional piece.

"MacDougall Blues" by Ashley McIsaac: We coupled this instrumental piece with a poem, in place of a vocal interlude.

"Amazing Grace": Many people told me this would be a mistake due to it's slow hymn nature, but it seemed to work in our case. Played on the pipes, of course.

"A Trumpet's Voluntary": A great substitute for the tired ole Bridal March. There are a number of good recordings out, though we used the piper for this piece as well. Some pipers know this piece of music by it's other name, " The Prince of Denmark March".

"Skye Boat Song": Another great, distinctive bagpipe tune. We used this for the Groom's entrance, but i have also seen this work well for the bride's entrance as well.

"Highland Cathedral": Could be used for the Bride's march, or as a recessional.

"Highland Wedding": We used this piece as our recessional. A great, light, brisk piece of music to leave on. Very memorable for the guests, which are who you want to impress.
