Meeting Minutes ~ Nevada City, Saturday, 11 September 2004 ~ Elections!

 

Susan called the Election Meeting to order at 5:10.

 

79th Members present to vote were:

Michael, Susan, Jeni, Joel, Carrol, Elizabeth, David, Steve, Susie, Al, Stefan, Emilio, Wendy, Douglas, Claude, Roxane.

 

Running for officer/board positions for the 2005 season were:

President: Susan Gjerde

Treasurer: Douglas Reid

Secretary: Elizabeth Quivey

Captain: Steve Baxter

1st Sergeant: Claude Braafladt

Sergeant: David Quivey

Corporals (2): Michael Gjerde and Douglas Reid

 

All of the above were unanimously voted in for the 2005 season. Congratulations!

 

Other Business:

Treasurer Report – Douglas:

We have $750.46 in our account. This includes the powder reimbursement from Ray Bober. We have not yet received our pay from the Roaring Camp school days.

 

Remaining Event Schedule:

25 September – Dixon Scottish Games. Carrol is the coordinator for this event. Remember that this weekend conflicts with the Fresno reenactment.

16-17 October – RACW Butte College Reenactment. Carrol is also the coordinator.

6-7 November – Moore Park Reenactment. This event is hosted by the So. CA Civil War Council and the Santa Barbara Civil War Round Table. It takes place near the Reagan Library, and will feature a battle in a cornfield. Contact Dave Davenport for more information.

13 November – ACWA Ball, Sonora. Dinner tickets are on sale until October 31. They are $30; dance only tickets are $15.

 

2005 Events:

January – RACW Ball. This event is held in Chico. Contact Carrol for more information.

February – 79th NY Rolling Party and Meeting. Claude will send out possible dates. It will be at his house in Santa Clara.

March – Visalia. A central CA event – we have been formally invited by Dave Davenport and his Fresno friends. Contact Dave for more information.
