| II have been a volunteer firefighter for 16 years. For the first 12, I was on San Jose Fire Department. The past 4 years I have been on Chatham Fire Department. |

| Every summer I participate in the Illinois State Fair Water Ball Tournament. It's hosted by the State Fire Marshall. This is my biggest fan, my son, Brady. He loves to share his "good luck kisses". |

| Firefighter's Prayer When I am called to duty, Lord wherever flames may rage Give me the strength to save a life whatever be its age. Help me embrace a little child before it is too late. Or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout. And quickly and efficiently to put the fire out. I want to fill my calling, to give the best of me. To guard my friend and neighbor, to protect his property. And if according to Your will, while on duty I must answer deaths call, Bless with Your protecting hand My family one and all. -Author unknown |
