What the youth should know about the Miltary

Why can we never seem to hold hands and embrace each other? Why do we fight more than we hug? Why do we lie more than we speak truthfully? Are we such cowards when it comes to love?

             The First thing that would probably come to anybody’s mind is probably Why should I be worried? It is not like there would be a draft anytime soon? Or is there?

             With the whole thing going on in Iraq, a draft seems to be very likely, With Marine being used up like Oil, and not enough volunteers in the armed forces.  http://blatanttruth.org/draft.php,  http://www.newswithviews.com/iserbyt/iserbyt14.htm. The whole idea is pretty scary isn’t it?

             But what exactly does a draft mean for you? Well a draft is also known as conscription. Although the whole active process of drafting was discontinued in the U.S.A in 1973, the SSS was still continuing. The SSS basically is law in the U.S.A that everyone between the age of 18-25 has to put their name in the lottery for the draft, as a way to keep man power up incase the Government needs it which is pretty evident. That means that for a lot of people in high school this should be a very big deal. Especially for high school seniors who are probably around that age group, with a draft that seems imminent  and SSS registration coming soon, things could get a little bit messy.
