3. Briefly describe how you indentify your targets and sales approaches you adopted.

Most of my targets are usually my family members and friends. Based on our conversations, I can easily identify their needs for a product. Therefore, by listening to their needs and preferences, I can manage to sell some products to them. Another factor that leads them as my targetted customers is their physical appearance, dressing and items that they are carrying. Since they are quite close to me, I can easily find out their hobbies and interests. These add up to the information that I needed when I wanted to sell products to them.

The sales approaches that I used are face-to-face selling and also selling through the phone. My best approach is face-to-face selling. By this way I can have my chance to convince my customers effectively. This includes by showing them the products itself and I can be able to explain to them the features and benefits of the products.

However, selling through the phone is quite challenging for me, as I needed to have a convincing voice in order to make my customer attracted to the products that I am selling.

4. Describe any one sale you closed that you found particularly difficult.

One of the sales that I find it difficult to sell is the Hari Raya goodies. At first I thought this is quite easy to sell since all the products are halal and my family members can buy it from me without hassle.

But my thoughts are wrong. Since my family members like to make Hari Raya goodies by themselves, they find it rather unsatisfying if they should buy Hari Raya goodies from outside. Furthermore the Hari Raya goodies that I was trying to sell to them are quite expensive compared to the goodies that were sold in other places.

Therefore, I tried showing them all the Hari Raya goodies that were listed for Personal Selling. With much convince I was successful to sell this type of cookie which my family member do not really know how to make it and she agreed to buy it from me since she thought it was the cheapest there. And finally I closed the sale.
