DT Vega is a stunning young Morab mare that I just bought from Abbie after leasing her for a while. When I found Vega, I was looking for an Arab to buy that already had some points in western events. Abbie offered me a lease on Vega, even though she was not full Arab. Not knowing much about Morabs but eager to learn, I accepted the lease on DT Vega. Recently, when Abbie asked if I wanted to buy her, I of course said yes! There was no way I was going to turn down the offer, and now that I have her, there is no chance that I'll ever sell Vega. Just as I thought, she has been an excellent ambassador of her breed and has shown me what they are capable of. Vega has a lovely personality and extreme intelligence. Those factors, paired with the spirit that her breeding has given her, make her a fun yet challenging horse. Vega learns very quickly and gets bored easily, so it is very important (and sometimes difficult) to keep finding new things to teach her. She is very much a lady, with impeccable manners. Of course, she is also the first one to drop and roll upon going outside. I think that it may just be her way of making sure people spend time pampering her. After all, a proper lady would never go out in public with so much as a spec of dirt on her!
When I was going back researching some show records, I decided to do Vega's as well. I was quite surprised at what I was able to find. She has numerous titles and awards, and a very extensive record. This mare has already established herself as part of the western world at a young age, and I'm sure she will continue to leave her mark.
