Cloud swung the red cloth around his shoulders. After adjusting it several times until it covered his wing to his liking, he proceeded to the Coliseum lobby for information on that day's tournament.
When he arrived, Phil was yelling at the competetors who had arrived already. "I've got four words for all of you: the games will be played tomorrow. It is raining, will be all day, so you're all out of luck." With that, he stomped away, refusing to listen to the crowd any longer. On the edge of the crowd was Leon. The brunette spotted him and walked over to the blond.
"You were going to fight, too?"
"Yeah."
"I heard Sora was supposed to be here today. For once, I'd like to beat him... You've had the same problem, haven't you?" Cloud nodded. "Do you want to try teaming up? We might be able to beat Sora if we fight together."
"I... I've got to go..." Cloud edged away slowly.
"Okay. Let me know early tomorrow."
"Sure."
The blond left the lobby for the door to the arena. Despite the rain, he was going for a walk. Walking gave him a chance to think and something to do while he wasn't able to train.
Rain was pouring down. Every few minutes there would be a flash of lightening accompanied by a rumble of thunder, while the wind blew cold rain at anything and everything. The rain soaked him and the wind chilled him. As he walked, he visibly shook from the cold.
/ I wonder if anyone will remember... /
A black feathered wing wrapped around him, pulling him against a warm, black clad body. Cloud felt the taller man rest his chin in the spikes on his head. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to go for a walk."
"What I meant was, shouldn't you be somewhere... special?"
"The tournament was cancelled."
Sephiroth twined golden strands around his fingers. "Still wrong." He gave a weak tug on the hair caught on his fingers, receiving a glare from the blond. The silver-haired man gave an amused snort. "Same as always, I see... Happy birthday, Cloud," he whispered, leaning down to press his lips to Cloud's.
/ Of all the people... he's the one... /
Cloud shoved Sephiroth away, but was held so tightly that neither man budged. The blond continued to glare angrily, while the other eyed him a little too lovingly for his liking.
"Your room or mine?"
"What?!"
"It's still raining, and we're both getting wet..."
"A bit late for that," the blond huffed.
In a cloud of feathers and glitter, the two disappeared.

A/N: This might be continued on the 19 (for Cloud's old birthday...) with a lemon, or something... Just... wait?.... Cloud swung the red cloth around his shoulders. I was going to use "cape," but it made me picture Cloud in tights with a big 'S' on his chest. Because he's Sephiroth's of course.
