No longer filled with the laughter of the orphans, barely remaining standing, Aerith's church was a sad sight to behold. The flowers, despite being run over by Kadaj's bike and flooded by the Lifestream, were doing quite well, however. They were the sole bright spot in the building. Cloud had been avoiding it for some time, busy with helping the orphans to new homes, but he decided he couldn't put this visit off any longer.
He brought with him pale pink flowers. Although he didn't know what kind they were -he was never a person who knew about flowers- he thought that Aerith would still appreciate the gesture. He'd left some at Zack's grave as well. After he thought about that, though, he wasn't exactly sure that Zack would appreciate being given flowers. The thought made him smile slightly.
Cloud sat in the patch of flowers closest to the pool of the Lifestream still in the center of the church. The water was a deep green-blue, and he was content to just stare at it for a while. Honestly, he felt awkward here. It wasn't like this before, he was always calm in Aerith's church, so it was cause for worry. Being so close to the Lifestream probably wasn't the best of ideas either, especially since he seemed to have a talent for falling in.
"Aerith, what's happening?" Cloud whispered as he swore he felt the air go cold. Her ghost was coming to visit him perhaps? If that was true, why was he still feeling ashamed? She'd never blamed him, and he'd already forgiven himself. It was confusing...
Shifting to lay back on the bed of flowers to stare at the star covered sky, Cloud relaxed slightly, too nervous to let down his guard completely. His heart beat began to slow, calmness was beginning to take over again, but something was still amiss, and he couldn't place what it was. He let his eyes drift shut as he struggled to piece everything together. He didn't have to wait long before he felt a weight settle on top of him.
A strong, alluring voice that could only belong to one person cooed, "Cloud."
He was afraid to open his eyes.
"How have you been?"
Instead of replying, Cloud stayed as still as he could, hoping that he was dreaming and this would disappear. It had happenned enough times before... His hope was, however, shattered when he felt Sephiroth nipping up the side of his neck. You didn't feel the mix of pleasure and pain like this in dreams. Wait, pleasure? Cloud twitched in disgust that he'd thought this pleasurable. To be at the mercy of your most powerful enemy was dangerous.
Sephiroth switched to leaving kisses along Cloud's jawbone as Cloud writhed, weakly attempting an escape.
"Come back, Cloud, we're not done yet," Sephiroth whispered, nuzzling against the side of Cloud's face.
"How?" Cloud rasped, finally daring to open his eyes. "You were..."
"Don't worry about it." Leather gloved fingers trailed from his cheek to the zipper on the chest of his clothes. Before Cloud could object, Sephiroth covered the blond's lips with his own as he slowly pulled the zipper down. As he brought his hand back up to push the clothing off off Cloud's shoulder, he was careful to brush against Cloud's nipple to make him whimper.
"Stop this..." Cloud turned his head, forcing Sephiroth away from his lips. "This isn't..."
"You want this." Sephiroth started unbuckling the belts around Cloud's waist. "And I want you. Lying now is pointless."
Willingly enough, Cloud let Sephiroth strip him of his clothes and armor, letting him touch him here and there as he did. But the more he let Sephiroth touch him, the more he did want Sephiroth. It was agonizing pleasure for him. He watched Sephiroth remove his shoulder armor and jacket, then quickly moved to work on the buckles across his chest from his belt.
Smirking, Sephiroth repeated, "You want this." He pushed Cloud back down again as Cloud hurriedly tossed Sephiroth's belt with the rest of his clothes. Somehow, Sephiroth managed to get out of his pants as well as he did so, even if Cloud wasn't able to catch the action.
Sephiroth began leaving kisses from Cloud's neck to past his navel. He was moving tantalizingly slow, and Cloud was whining for him to move faster. The silver-haired man only chuckled, continuing with his own pace. Stopping just before he reached where Cloud wanted him to touch right now, Sephiroth moved back up to whisper in Cloud's ear. "Should I go faster, puppet?" Cloud nodded, suddenly rather timid. He watched Sephiroth shift his weight to one arm he was propping himself up with, using the other to caress Cloud again.
As Sephiroth's hand came between his legs, Cloud arched up a bit, gasping. However, Sephiroth didn't let his hand linger there. He began tracing circles around Cloud's opening, applying little pressure, as he moved Cloud's legs to his sides. Watching Cloud, he pushed his finger in, then another, and frowned when he saw Cloud bite his lip in nervousness. "Relax."
Doing his best to listen to Sephiroth, Cloud relaxed as best as he could and was rewarded with kisses to the side of his face. Sephiroth pulled out his fingers, and, slowly, began sliding into Cloud. Cloud was struggling not push back against him or squirm too much. He wanted Sephiroth to move, but he didn't want something bad to happen because of him.
The first few thrusts were slow, but, gradually Sephiroth moved faster, and Cloud gasped, muttering nosensically. That man seemed to know every thing that there was possible to know about him. Cloud wasn't quite sure if he wanted it that way. It would only cause more trouble, make it easier for Sephiroth to manipulate him.
Such a perfect puppet he was letting himself be again. He'd always go to any lengths to please his puppeteer, wouldn't he? An endless burden that he never wanted. As much as he tried to deny this duty, he found himself enjoying it. He was a sick, sick person wasn't he? But Sephiroth cares for him just the same. If it's what Sephiroth wants...
Writhing, coming closer to the end, Cloud's mouth betrayed him as he murmured contentedly, "I love you."
They do say that there is a fine line between insanity and love, don't they? It's possible sometimes to be exactly on the line isn't it? When was everything others said to him right anyway?
Sated for the time being it seemed, Sephiroth picked his clothes from the ground. "Shall we meet again soon, Cloud?" he said, sinking back into the Lifestream. After that, Cloud laid still, listening to his beating heart.
Two figures looked on from the shadows holding two bouquets of pale pink flowers.
Advent Children is pretty.
