Stop by Fernando Gozo, Jr.
Dusk! In Philippine Orient Sea Where yet another day we'll see Couldn't be still dark in tomorrow's sky? Could we utter a murmur, or just a sigh?
Does this day promise another hope By concerned people who should Can we still see a bright day? Ruined tranquility, who will pay?
What does God wants us to do? Is it love and to unite too? Are you aware of the catastrophe in your land? Are you ever affected where you stand? This is the way, a chance for me to ex- press The feeling of empathy like this, It hurts, but merry for the beast, In my beloved country, "I need peace!" |
Twist by Carol Torre
Never did I expect, In time our roads would meet, For mine were merely jokes- Yours were all insults.
Is it because I did pass according to your lights? Why was there a sudden twist From feeling mad to real love? When I'm with you My sorrows drown Filling up the emptiness Where affections suddenly grow. In time I must Have a mind To get the pieces of you together For us to be forever.
