'WASH DAY' brouhaha atbp. |

THE SEMESTER IS ABOUT to end. We will all be having our much-awaited vacation (or call it a break). I ask you to enjoy it with gusto, especially those who will still come back next semester. It would no doubt be twice as boring as this semester, except, of course, if "extra" activities would cram our school calendar, making us forget the boredom that fills the nooks and crannies of our school.
WE HAVE BEEN PERSISTENTLY clamoring to make Wednesday a "washday." But our request has not been granted yet. The students' clamor still rings loud and clear. Those who could only afford one set of uniform have expressed their sentiments, saying that their uniforms are all "wash and wear" (washed during the night and worn the following morning). Until when would that one piece of uniform last? After a couple of washing, I guess.
These students are hoping that they'd be given a little consideration.
A deal, however, had been made to let students wear their prescribed uniforms properly. Then and only then will their request be granted.
Let's all cooperate. This is just a matter of giving and taking.
I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY congratulate the Gold Team for bagging the crown (again!) Well, what's new? It always ends that way. Yet, I would not dare say that there was no stiff competition. The active members of the Gold Team have actually sweated blood in pursuit of their victory.
To the Turquoise and Emerald Teams, don't lose hope, for there will be next year's Intrams where you can show off your athletic prowess and ability (if there are any). What matters most is the friendship that we have developed and the experiences that we have gained. A toast to everybody.
AS I PUT THIS INTO WRITING, the TARGET staff is laboring excruciatingly for this issue to be released before the semester ends. Thanks to our adviser, Mr. Ian Sabalza, who never tire reminding us to submit our articles on time. You see, some of the articles were long overdue (like mine). Well, what was done could never be undone. Life's like that anyway.
Thanks, too, to our fellow collegians who submitted to us their articles and poems for publishing. We are appealing to countless others who have submitted that we can't publish all your contributions in this issue for we lack space. Read them in the next issue.
To the TARGET staff, let's continue the work. Our labor is never in vain. Let's continue to uphold what is right and what is true. May the Force be with us.
To Baby, I love you.
