UFO Club Annual Meeting Minutes

January 8, 2006 at Ham’s on 321

 

Attendees:

Brain, Clint, Nate L.,  Richard, Brad, Ross, Andy, Jon J., Brent, LeVo, Dan, Matt S.

 

Meeting came to order at 2:15 PM.

 

The following officers were elected for 1 year term until January 2007.

President:             Ross Porter

V.P.                 Freddy Bowman          

Treasurer            Nathan Lane                

Secretary            Dan Mitchell

Course Pro            Brad Smith 

 (Brad will also run Wednesday doubles and co-ordinate merchandise sales)

 

Finance: 

• Brad reported we are square with Innova for discs.
• We still owe PDGA $200.00 for 2005 Hickory Classic which will go in with Paul’s official report.
• Freddy called in to report we have about $250 in non Ace Pool funds.
• Dues were set at $10 per year good to the next January Annual meeting
• Nate started collecting 2006 dues

 

New Items:

• Brent discussed Ice Bowl set for Feb. 11. Dan said Major Carter from the Salvation Army is set to attend
• New bag tags will be made and sold for 2006 (Freddy and Brad)
• Brad said there will be a new points format for Wednesday doubles, 1 point for showing up and a point for each team beaten. Starts the week we switch to Daylight Savings Time
• After discussion of importance of keeping trash picked up, idea presented to have trash sponsors for the 7 holes with trash cans

• Items for future discussion:
• Ross will organize regular meetings
• Paying for website to get a better domain name
• Changing Sunday start time
• Getting more members selling discs
• Getting Gary to rent chipper for clean-up on Hole 7
