Fellow Men’s Club Members,
As I write this, the snow is melting and
temperatures are hovering around 60 F.
It’s time to start stretching and to get the clubs regripped for the
2009 Season.
The executive board has met, and decided to hold
dues to $100. This year the dues will
NOT include the meal at the fall banquet.
Several expenses have risen in price, and any
additional monies will be folded into bigger payouts for each tournament. We need members to pay by May 1 to be
included in the roster book.
The fall banquet site is yet to be determined,
and it will be an additional cost to include both golf and a meal.
Tournament Tees will be in effect again this
year and, for the most part, you will find the same tournaments as last
year. We will strive to have a sign up
sheet posted for the subsequent tournament at each event.
The Wednesday before a tournament will the
cutoff date to sign up. After that, you
may sign a waiting list, and you will play at the tournament director’s
discretion.
Classes will remain the same as in previous
years—Class A for handicaps 0-9, Class B for 10-15 and C for 16+.
Once again the Men’s Club website will be used
as a way to communicate tee times, results and other information pertaining to
the club. I have put the website address at the top of this letter.
I hope you will express your appreciation to all
our tournament directors and executive officers. Their time and service make
the Men’s Club possible.
With the help of Dan Stoneburg and the rest of
the fine staff at Hiawatha Golf, I know 2009 will be a great season. I look forward to seeing you on April 20.
