Well, I went to Wisconsin to visit Leo Layne. To find his place,  I turned off the county highway onto the gravel road that was the 'street' in the unincorporated town he lives in. The gravel turns into twin tire tracks of dirt separated by tuffs of grass. Eventually that gives way to a path that is little more than a mowed swath that wends its way across a meadow to the house Leo lives  in. Can we say 'desolated'? (WE can say it, but Leo LIVES it!)
Ahhhh, but such beautiful desolation!  here is a picture of my car in front of the stand of pinetrees he looks out upon from his kitchen window.  While below you see him standing in front of the lush folage and small pond that one sees when looking out his living room window!
...And how can one's life be considered 'desolate' when it is shared with two adorable cats like these?!?
But, ya know, we didn't spend that much time in this bucolic solitude. Friday, we were in Lacrosse, Saturday, we went dancing in Greenbay, and if it's Sunday, this must be Madison...so click on one of the images below for some more photos.
