Molly Wortham announced to the HIA news that due to a change in the product line, she is no longer pursuing a career as a spokesmodel for the washing up liquid.                     When Gregory and I visited Renee and Andrew in England last October, I fell in love, not with the rolling lush countryside, cute cottages, lovely gardens, Turkish delight candy, dramatic coastlines, tiny appliances, all those things were really lovely..but what I fell for was the freshest, most aromatic washing up liquid (thats British for dish soap)imaginable. From the first whiff of Persil tea tree and peppermint scent I was hooked.     Upon our return to the states, washing up with American dish soaps seemed unbearable. I was delighted when Renee sent me some that Christmas. I began thinking of writing the company, telling them how much I loved their product, including a little photo essay about my love of Persil. It occurred to me that probably they would ask me to be their spokesmodel.      When Renee told me that they were coming over this fall, I put in my request for a bottle of Persil. She told me that my favorite scent had been discontinued. I thought Id give it a try anyway, but there was no comparison. The new scent does nothing for me. It is just not a washing up liquid I could put my face next to and feel good about it.    When asked about future plans, Wortham stated that she would ration the little Persil she had left, and continue to work at the grocery store and the group home.
