We approach the holiday once more, with an eye open to the opportunities that come--surprising even the dreamers among us.  This is that time for you to find those opportunities.

Every day we are surrounded by people named Joe.  Not totally surrounded--have no fear--but nonetheless there are many people named Joe who still don't know about it.  The last thing I want to happen to anybody is for them to find out about their own holiday from a card that they find at a grocery store while picking up the Sloppy Joe mix for dinner and a pack of Bazooka Joe for the drive home.  That would be bad.

Far better would be for them to hear about it from their friends.  From you, from me.  If their birthday is coming up, you can email in about getting a shirt, so you'll know when the shirts become availible for order (close to the beginning of next year).  If they happen to have a birthday on April 28th, think of the fun you could have celebrating with them, and enjoying the camraderie of a nation celebrating this day.

There are thousands of local newspapers in every state and county in the US, and every one of those newspapers that can run an article about the local National "Say 'Hi' to Joe Day" movement is another article that will brighten somebody's face and help them to realize that it's not all bad news in the world today.  Give them a chance to reach out by reaching out yourself.

National Say Hi to Joe Day, it is more than just a holiday. It is a time when family, friends and other loved ones can join together to celebrate what this country really means.

By having Say Hi to Joe day, we can fellowship not only those who are named Joe, but every American living in this blessed country today. In fact, this country is held together by the care and love of others. And I believe that this holiday will ensure that we Americans can stand together as one. I respectfully request that you support this wondrous holiday.
