Avril Lavigne was born on September 27th 1984 in the small town of Napanee (Ontario, Canada) Growing up into the church choir from an early age, before long Avril was performing at the country music competitions and onto the festivals. Despite Avril's early success she continued her education. Focusing on the music and taking a keen interest in the guitar.

Over the next couple of years she would make every effort to attract the record industry. The lucky break came at the age of 16, on a trip to New York, when sitting in a studio, writing, she caught the attention of Antonio "LA" Reid (head of Arista Records) Once hearing her material, he was quick to sign her up

Avril moved to Manhattan for a short period, before moving once again to the west coast, where she would hook up with a producer/songwriter Clif Magness and where they would begin to write material, to release her debut single "Complicated" and soon her album "Let Go"

Avril continues to impress us with her outstanding vocal talent
