After reading about the SHE system of organisation, here is a schedule I made for our family. This changes as our circumstances change, too.
EMMA (AGE 16)
BEDROOM CHORES ~ make bed, dirty clothes to laundry, rubbish to trash can, clean clothes hung up, dishes to kitchen
PET CHORES ~ feed and water horse, water chickens, water vegetables
BATHROOM ~ clean basin, bathtub, toilet, replace toilet rolls, replace towels
BREAKFAST
KITCHEN ~ wash pots, clean sink, taps and splashback

NOTES:
MEAL PREPARATION: Everybody helps with meal preparation and cooking each day. Table setting, dishing up etc is taken in turns
LAUNDRY: Whoever is free when a washing cycle is complete hangs the washing on the line. Smalls go straight into the dryer
GARDENING: Weeding, planting, harvesting is done by all whenever necessary. Heavy gardening is usually done on Saturday when Daddy is home.
PREPARATION: Everybody helps with the preparation required to go into town on the two days each week. I have lists of what we must take on each trip.
GOULBURN: We usually have music lessons in Goulburn. Also, the grandparents live there and we visit, help with chores, garden etc. with them. Tuesday is our grocery shopping day and we also take the grandparents� grocery shopping home for them.
QUEANBEYAN: Our engineering business is here. We usually go through to do the wages, errands, banking, postage, etc here. Also, we have started going for sewing lessons with a friend who owns a children�s clothing store. At the end of our day in Queanbeyan, we go and do the �bread run� ~ delivery of a variety of bakery goods to families in need (we pick it up free from the local baker). Every second Friday, we help out at our church�s youth group (ulterior motives ~ where I can keep a �watchful eye� on my young �uns!)
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS: We would like to start doing something different each week. Because there is so much to do and such little time, we have to fit our interests in somewhere!
EXCURSIONS: We love to go on excursions. I have a list of places we�ve been, places we would still like to visit. Mostly, these excursions seem to go so well with the children�s interest in history.
