| PANTRY ITEMS LIST: FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD! Dear Sisters Here is a list of items we buy regularly as our 'pantry' items. I call all my fridge and freezer food, as well as fruit and vegetables 'pantry' items. In our home, "pantry" is equal to "food". I have divided the list of groceries into the sections they are stored in. The day before we go into town to do our weekly shopping, we clean the fridges, freezer and pantry. We clean out the rotter drawers in the fridges. Then we wipe down the fridges, so that there is CLEAN space to unpack fresh food. We clear the jars and cans off of the pantry shelves, so that we can wash the shelves (in case of ants and other miscellany!). Then we repack all the foodstuffs in their respective sections, taking care to wipe sauce bottles, jam jars, sandwich spread bottles etc. I can't tell you how good it is to be able to arrive home after a big shopping day, and be able to pack fresh groceries into their respective clean store. To work out my basic grocery list, I saved the grocery bill receipts, week after week. I noted which items I bought each week, as well as those I would buy bi-monthly. I then divided these items into different categories. I take the list with me when we go grocery shopping. It is a tremendous help as I buy what is on my list. I avoid the aisles that stock foodstuffs that don't interest us. Please note that this list includes gluten-free products, which are special diet items.
