Any type of old cupboard can be used for this deck planter.

Take your old cupboard and clean it up, or paint if necessary.  If the cupboard has drawers, they can be lined with plastic then filled with tiny pots with different types of hanging plants or herbs.  Alternately, potting soil can be added to the drawers and the plants can be planted directly into the drawers.  Petunias, dianthus, pansies and ivy are ideal for this.  Just leave the drawers half open so that the plants can grow and topple over.

If your cupboard has shelves, old pottery, planting pots, small garden tools and seeds can be stored artistically thereon.  Raffia and miniature gardening nick-nacks can be tied to the doorknobs of the cupboard.  A fern or other trailing plant can be stored right on top of the cupboard.  Terracotta and other larger pots can stand guard around the cupboard, as well as a trusty watering can.  A great addition to any deck and so pretty!
