Written Prayer: Cargos of Love ~ 2 11 December 2001 Why do we close our eyes and look down in prayer? King David said he "..... will look up....". Did he talk to God, head held high, eyes open, looking up to the heavens? David KNEW the Lord had heard him. Help me, Oh, Lord to not cause you to anger. It is fearful to think that the Lord God is angry with the wicked every day! Keep my heart pure, Lord ~ even when I commit unintentional sin, so that there are no pre-conceived sins in my heart. How much God loves us! he made the heavens and Earth, moon and starts, yet He still seeks us. Who are we to deserve this? What love! God put us in charge of His works on the Earth ~ yet how do we repay Him? To think this is our Earth, we are in charge of His creations here. How we should value this. How we should respect and appreciate this responsibility! I know that if it were my creation, I certainly wouldn't put others in charge of it! King David wanted to be kept as 'the apple of the eye', and under 'the shadow of God's wing'. This is my prayer. To be kept close to God, under His wing, close to His heart! Helen |
