Anne Doggett

My great times 10 aunt through brother John; and my great times 11 aunt through sister Alice.

Born: unknown.
Parents: RICHARD DOGGETT* AND UNKNOWN.
Married: multiple.
Died: 1578 in Suffolk Co., England. 1
Will: 20 July 1578, Otley, Suffolk Co., England, probated 11 Nov. 1578 in Otley. 4
Buried: 1578 Church of Otley, near her husband. 2

Notes: Thomas Bacon left a will dated 10 March 1546, naming four sons: Edmund, John, Francis and George, but these, except George, may have been by a first wife.  Anne was probably the second wife of Thomas; Rodney Dennys reported that a search of the Official Register of the College of Arms produced this: "At the Herald's Visitation of Suffolk in 1561, a pedigree was recorded of the Gosnoll family.  Robert Gosnoll of Otley, Suffolk married Anne Bacon, daughter of Richard Doggett; they had no children."  MUSKETT states Anne married first Thomas Bacon, of Heggersett, Suffolk, and had one son, George Bacon.  WOOD AND BLANTON (The Clopton Chronicles) states that Robert Gosnold, son of John and Katherine (Kebell) Gosnold, was born about 1490, and that Thomas and Ann Bacon had two children, George and Thomas Bacon, but there seems to be no support for the existence of Thomas. 3
