CENTROID

The point of intersection of the three medians of a triangle is called the centroid of a triangle.

In this sketch, point X is the centroid of the triangle.

No matter what type of triangle is given, the centroid will always be located in between the sides of the triangle and never outside the sides.

The centroid is located two-thirds of the way from the vertex to the opposite midpoint.
