Definitions

 

v         Isosceles Triangle- a triangle with at least 2 congruent sides

v         Median- a line drawn from the vertex angle of a triangle to the opposite side that divides the side into 2 congruent parts

v         Altitude- a line drawn from the vertex angle of a triangle to the opposite side that is perpendicular to the side

v         Base angles- 2 angles on either side of a base of a triangle

v         Legs- sides of an isosceles triangle that are congruent

v         Base- side of a triangle that is not congruent
