| Back in '94, John Byrne created a comic intended to bring back the old silver age heroes in a new light. This short comic series was called DANGER UNLIMITED and featured a superhero family in the same tradition as the Fantastic Four, backed with a separate storyline of a patriotic hero (a la Captain America) named Torch of Liberty. Unfortunately, the series only lasted 4 issues due to the usually fickle response of the comics industry at that time.. |

| Cal Carson AKA Thermal, one of the original "Danger Unliimited' team, was exposed to the "Gunk" on a scientific exploration mission with his family. He gained the ability to control and focus heat and cold. Basically, a mixture of Iceman and the Human Torch |

| How much of a Captain America clone he is, I dont know. But Paul Gibney AKA the Torch Of Liberty is a patriotic supersoldier during WW II with a tortured past. What that past was, we'll never know unless someone who also owns the comic makes a fanfic about it! |
