The Music I Like!!!!
(part 4)
It is my firm belief that these guys are gonna be the next Led Zeppelin. The band? The Stone Temple Pilots. The band is one of the tightest I've ever seen live, the songwriting is superb, and the musicianship is excellent.. And as long as Scott Weiland can keep off the smack, the band's gonna be all right!! Seriously though, if you'd like to test my belief, listen to their most recent effort, No. 4 or their second album... Which I don't think has a name. LONG LIVE STP!!!!!!!!!
SEEN 'EM!!!!
He is known by many names... Ziggy Stardust and The Thin White Duke being two of them... His name is David Bowie. Rock's ever-changing chameleon. The man has experimented with so many styles and toyed with his image so many times, it's simply amazing. For some classic David Bowie, check out The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars. It's acclaimed by many as the greatest concept album ever made. I was amazed the first time I heard it... Why wouldn't you be?
These are the masters of Rock. Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and the late John Bonham... Led Zeppelin... I shouldn't need to say much on this group... So I won't. I'll just leave this by stating that if there were no Led Zeppelin, half of the bands that are around wouldn't be existing now. That is all.
This is just some typing to fill this space up.... Isn't it beautiful???
This is, possibly, one of the greatest jam bands of the 90s. Constantly touring, Phish has amassed an insanely huge cult following by doing what they do best... Play music. An interesting fact about these guys... In the 17 year career of the band, they've only opened for ONE act... Carlos Santana. Pretty impressive, eh? Anyway, for a good starter album for these guys, I'd recommend The Story Of The Ghost. That's about all I gots ta say about dem...
