Alexander the Great went through many hard times as a child. Alexander the greats father was not home muchwhen Alex was a child, and was usually mostly around his mother. however, when Phillip(Alexander the Greats father)was home, he had a sense of pride and affection toward his father, and often played down his fathers achievements. Alexander the Greats parents were also fighting a lot, which has a negative and violent experience on Alexander. When Alexander the great was just twenty years old hier father was assassinated, leaving Alexander as the new leader of Macedonia.
When Alexander came to power, the empire was in very vad shape. There were many enemies to Macedonia, however Alexander quickly took care of all of the enemies by killing them. Alexander the great can thank his fater Phillip for building the empire that Alex conquered the world with.
Democracy has been around for a very long time, when it first started with the First Commandment. However, American democracy in the last 200 years has really evolved. Democracy in America started when George Washington came to office, or really when we became an independent country, winning the revolutionary war. A lot of the presidents have helped to evolve the great democracy that we have today. Some of the things that helped evolve American Democracy was when african americans were granted the same rights as everyone else. That helped because, at that time, a lot of peoples votes were byassed, and the african american people really did a good job by voting because they really evened out the opinions. Another good thing was when women got the right to be able to vote, because it gave all the citezens of american a change to participate in the government. Another good thing was whe the law was passsed that stated that a president could only be in term for 8 years, this was really good because it made sure that no president could become to powerful and harm the country,
I think that there are many reasons why Rome fell, but i think that one of the main reasons is that the Roman Empire became to large. Rome was very much about conquering more land and expanding the very great empire that they worked so hard to create. However, making their empire so large, turned out to be much more of a problem then a good thing. The reason that it did become a problem is because since the empire became so large, it was very hard to control the cities and the people of the Roman Empire. People started to rebel against the government. I think that this could happen to America, because we do have the tendancy to stretch outselves out to far. We also have the tendency to help other countries, when are help is not wanted. However, if this does happen, i do not believe it will be at any time in the near future.
