mysteries
I have said you were my darkness
My strength

In truth you were my light
Shining in on the part of me
I kept hidden

Showing me the person
  I am when noone's around

But now
  Now I am that person
      All the time

Light can be blinding when it is
                                   all you see
Darkness can be hideous when you see
                                   it all alone

Ah but light and dark
                 together
Make mysteries
    waiting to be unraveled
Make shadows
    that shift
       restlessly
Make power

Power
   Which conquers and overthrows
                       I possess it
Power
    Which awes and inspires
                       I possess it
Power
    Which seduces and unnerves
                       I possess it

Possession
  Obsession

What is yours

   Now?
Was it ever truly me?

I was your possession
  You were my obsession

How things change

So long since I have thought of you
  How strange it seems now

I wonder do you think of me
  I never know

Irony
Even if you do, it isn't me
It's the child I once was

And what are you now?
More infantile than ever

Lunacy
  how I once adored you
Reality
  it was I Superior

                     -------------------->

I hold power and pleasure and passion
  Passion for love and life
    Passion for passion's own sake
  Love for passion
    Love for power
      Love beyond your pettiness
  Pleasure
    Speaks for herself
      Smiles and turns
        And they follow as men
                  always will

You
What are you?
  Hideous and obvious
Obsessed
   Possessed
         of memories you despise?
         of your own hollow lies?
  Infantile Juvenile
    delinquent to reality
  Petty in you dreams
    Pathetic
      Pitiful
         Gone
