| A night alone in the darkness Of the fear in your trembling heart And you wonder as the moon glows - What lurks there in the dark? Noiseless forms glide slowly Across the dusty floor Vile forms, and lowly, Summon fear from days of yore His ghost comes back to haunt you And bring torment on your soul And the memories come and taunt you Your mind starts to lose control In the darkness his face leers at you And his laugh comes, quiet and dark And through his mocking smile he jeers at you As ice closes round your heart His form lifts silently into view - A shroud of misty fog And with daggered eyes he stares at you As your memory starts to jog Recollection dawns like lightning flash And suddenly you are there As you gut feeling and your memory clash You recall a time long past despair And you are there, and so is he And his eyes glare like firelit orbs As he takes his mount on top of you And wrongly takes whats rightfully yours Then dawning creeps above the mist The nightmare's almost done And you are permitted a few sweet hours of rest Before another night alone.
