He then puts it in Troy's ear and his burrows under his skin. Possessed epople get what Thelma likes to call 'manky eyes', and it seems the possesion can be passed on, as once he's had sex with Cassie, Troy is no longer possessed, and she is...presumably the little caterpiller moves between host bodies?
