Cassie is now at another party...all she ever seems to do these days! After a quick chat with a seemingly insignificant guy, shes sees Azazeal in his demonic form watching her across the crowds, while a nerdy guy relates his theory about the monster within...Wandering through a network of corridors, she finds the aforementioned guy writhing on the floor...he gets up and walks off, but then she sees him later, his eyes are bloodshot like Azazeals. He takes a girl outside with him. Concerned, Cassie follows, and uses her powers to save the girl, and keep the Nephelim guy, for that is what he is, from catching up with her. It seems just as Buffy runs into vampires all the time in the Bronze, Cassie is going to be encountering Nephelim. I am really am going to try and stop with the Buffy comparisons though, as it really is a very different show. Azazeal watches sinisterly as Cassie makes her way back home. Then suddenly were in the middle of a very steamy scene between Cassie and Thelma...until she wakes up to find Thelma watching her. Later turns out that Roxanne is also being visited in her sleep by the naughty ghost! Have you any idea how frustrating it is being a lesbian ghost? Not going to Media Studies again, Cassie runs into Troy, and spends some time with him in town, while Thelma watches nosily. Theres a soul eating demon on the loose and youre taking tea! She criticises, before both of them encounter a strange ghostly girl with bleeding fingernails...its the girl from one of Cassies visions last week. A quick flash and her head is replaced with that of the demonic Azazeal for a fraction of a second, before she tries to strangle Cassie. Then the first commercial break of this episode. The pacing seems much better this week. Even though the first episode was longer, there was a lot to cram in so you had to concentrate pretty hard...its steadier this week, easier to follow. After the break Thelma is determined that they need to know whats going on, so she convinces Cassie to touch the Canari to get more visions. Reluctantly she agrees, and sees the girl again, hanging dead from a tree. An encounter with Azazeal later outside raises more questions that it answers. Were the same, you and I, he tells her, If you could see your soul, youd know. What does he mean by that exactly?? And also what does he mean when he tells her history repeats itself? Well just have to wait and see I guess. Then a quick encounter with Troy indicates that hes very much interested in Cassie, and just before the next break, we see Azazeal watching her as she sleeps, and dreams of the dead girl. Later in the grounds, Cassie and Thelma find the tree from the visions, with strange cross-like markings on the branch, and grave stone beneath, baring the name Esther McBain, presumably the daughter of Rachel, born in 1746, died in 1762. Later that evening, while exploring, Thelma find the room in which she was murdered. Its got childrens stuff in it, and the behind the wall hangings, the walls are covered in childish pictures of Azazeal. Seems Esther was locked in this room, but why? And then later Thelma sees very similar scribblings on Cassies notes...is this what the history repeating itself bit meant?? And dont think the Beauty and the Beast reference in the next English lesson is completely irrelevant to whats going on here. While Cassie is out on her date with Troy, watched by Azazeal, Thelma happens upon a Tudor family tree, which gives her an idea. Checking Cassies records, there she finds it...her fathers name....James McBain! Back To: Episode Guide Hexed Up Home StrangeOnline Home |
