And the fire
upon the altar
shall be burning
in it; it shall not be put out:
and the priest
shall burn
wood
on it every morning,
and lay the burnt offering
in order
upon it; and he shall burn
thereon the fat
of the peace offerings.
The fire
shall ever
be burning
upon the altar;
it shall never go out
In the midst of Generals of God passing away, wars and rumors of war, diabolically secular court decisions, and economic crises, God is reverberating a piercing alarm to the Body of Christ. He is reaffirming the Body of Christ in this hour to keep the flame of God kindling. We must allow the Spirit of the Lord to ignite in us a passion for revival. God is indeed looking a for a remnant of believers who are tired of the status quo and want a fresh move of God. Even in this time of transition, God is saying we must return back to the basics of holiness and sanctification.
Fire is has several
characteristics. Fire has natural properties of providing warmth and is used to
sterilize. Fire has the potential to produce a sense of danger when it gets out
of control, and begins to spread. In the Bible fire is seen in many different
facets, such as, the fury of God, judgment or even word of the Lord. Likewise
the Spirit of the Lord is releasing in this season a sustaining, rekindling
anointing of fire upon His people. God is saying we must not allow the fire of
God to go out in our families, cities, churches, or our nation. We must stand
for righteous and holiness or be judged by the fire of God. The prophet
Jeremiah knew exactly about this God, who is a consuming fire. Jeremiah then I said, I will not make
mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart
as a burning fire shut up in my
bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay (Jeremiah 20:9)
The days of Jeremiah have not left us because as believers we must speak the
Word of the Lord regardless of how we might be persecuted.
“For even this
summer the enemy would try to distract you and cause you to become lukewarm,
but I declare that your fire will not die, but be rekindled like never before!”
We must be
Keepers of the Flame!
