| Seth is one month old! Where has the time gone? I cant believe Seth is 1 month old already!!! Boo hoo! He has definitely grown quite a bit, as his body now hangs over my lap when I am breastfeeding him, before he barely fit in my lap he was so tiny! And he seems to be getting cuter by the day if that is possible Seth has a definite eating and sleeping pattern now~he eats during the day every 2 -3 hours and during the night he wakes up about 2x, which isnt too shabby. We started training Seth on bottles this week, he took the bottle well and was still okay with breastfeeding later in the day. Seth is still pretty fussy throughout the day, so I did start him on the soy formula in between the expressed breast milk bottles. His fussiness is starting to decrease a little each day, so I definitely think maybe the cutting back on my breast milk has helped him some as far as the gas is concerned-I just couldnt figure out what I was eating that made him so miserable! Right now Seth gets nothing but bottles from 9am-6pm and is solely breastfeed 6pm-7am to get him ready for when I go back to work in two weeks, his training is going well. The first couple days of training, he got frustrated and confused between the breast and bottle, but now he is in the groove of things and taking both well. We also have introduced Seth to the binky (pacifier), which he is not too thrilled with at all, he spits out quite often, but he will utilize it occasionally for brief periods. We are fine with him not caring too much for it since we dont want him to get attached to a binky. Seth is holding his head up very well at this stage, beginning to grab and hold things and he can roll over from a side laying position to his back and when laid on his belly on the floor he is able to scoot and move himself several inches, he is definitely a busy body just how I imagined he would be since he was very active and rambunctious in the womb. |
