Hottentota judaicus,
Simon 1872

This scorpion comes from the desserts of Israel and lives in a sandy invironment under big stones and rocks. This is a scorpion from the genera
Buthidae.
This means it a very poisonous scorpion, I've been told that it isn't deadly, but I ain't gonna try!! Before they sting you though, they will try to run first.
Hottentota was formaly known as Buthotus. These scorpions are known as lapidocolous, that means that they wander around at night and during the day they shelter underneath stones and shallow burrows. They prefer big rocks because they stay warm longer, and these can't be tossed away by enemys. Use these things in captivity too, give them lots of places to shelter, later on you'll see that they prefer one or two places best.
Give them a shallow water dish, scorpions are known to drown quick.
Keep them on desertsand and give them a low humidity ( 30% ) and very warm, 35 degrees Celcius. They eat little crickets, With the handling of such scorpions as these you'ld better not use your hands. Use big pinchers or hooks, just to be sure that you ain't gonna die!!
