| okay, this is mainly because I know this is on the net, and the fanbase of diru isn't all british, and as I'm pimping this out to all available it might be useful if I jsut clarify some things. This is written as a supposed translation from Japanese directly into my mother tongue, British English. All the slang used therefore is British. Thinking about it now, I can't relaly pick out many words that imight cause confusion, mainly swearwords and such, but if I think of anything, I'll put it up here. Please don't anyone feel patronised by this, but yeah, I don't want anything to be lost through misinterpretation. Fag - this is quite valid, given the context of this fic. In England, a fag generally is a cigarette, NOT, as in America, a homosexual. So if you're reading about Kyo lighting up a fag (or worse yet, someone bumming a fag... bumming in that context meaning to scrounge... or um.. oh gosh, non-slang... sort of borrow? yeah, that'll have to do.) he would be lighting his cigarette and not partaking in the burning of the gays. Just to clear that up. |
