THIS is a story about the lives of six young people in the process of living as best as they know how in Kyoto, Japan. Toshiya is the perky night-club dancer looking for a new start and where possible - new clothes. Shinya is his underwear loving, gender-boundary pushing colleague on the journey towards self completion. As a strong and independent woman with chubby thighs, Miki is faced with decisions that could put the life she's worked for in jeopardy. Kaoru is sexy as hell and finding it hard to let go of lost love, even if he is finding it easy to get laid. Die needs to reassess priorities he had taken for granted when it comes to falling in love, while Kyo comes to terms with caring for someone and being cared for in return, facing up to his past, his insecurities and Toshiya's fashion exploits. This is an exploration in relationships, platonic or otherwise, with others and with the self in the quest for love and acceptance. |
